Operation: The Range Extender works as a powerbank for the main battery installed in your electric bike. In Ebikemotion's X35 and X35+ system, only the main battery supplies power to the motor, while the Range Extender charges the main battery. Charging occurs regardless of whether there is a demand for power from the engine (speeds above 25 km/h, bicycle stationary or no pedalling). The Range Extender has a discharge rate of 1.9A, while the motor can instantly request up to 9A. It is therefore clear that the Range Extender cannot supply power to the motor independently without going through the main battery. It is therefore recommended to use the Range Extender always connected to the main battery, via the charging point, ensuring the main battery is charged during use. In case of intensive use of the battery at maximum assistance and for very long periods, it is possible that the main battery will discharge much faster than the Range Extender is able to recharge it; in these cases you will need to wait for the Range Extender to recharge the main battery to a sufficient level to be able to use the electric assistance again.

Power on: After connecting the Range Extender to the charging point, press the IWOC button on the top of the device. Instantly, the iWOC button in the top tube of the bike will also begin to flash the color indicative of the charge level of the main battery, as when charging the battery with the normal charger. The bicycle operates normally and assistance levels can be changed as if the Range Extener were not connected. To guarantee the maximum level of autonomy, it is recommended to connect the Range Extender to the main battery from the beginning, in order to have the necessary time for full charging.

Power Off: To turn off the Range Extender, continuously press the button on the top of the device for 3 seconds.

Charging: The Range Extender can be charged both independently and in series with the Cento1 Hybrid's main battery. To charge independently, simply connect the X35 charger to the charging port on the top of the device. To charge it in series with the main battery, you need to connect the Range Extender to the bike through the charging point and then connect the charger to the Range Extender at its charging point. Alternatively, you can view the Range Extender's charge level via the Ebikemotion smartphone application. The Range Extender's charge level can be identified by examining the color of the iWOC on the top of the battery
