A tread with a medium profile and spacing, specific for use on the rear to guarantee traction and stability on a variety of different terrains, from hard to soft. Scorpion™ Enduro R creates a perfect combination when paired with Scorpion™ Enduro S at the front.
The use of the special SmartGRIP Compound guarantees high contact resistance and tear resistance at the same time, resulting in high grip in any weather situation, whether dry or wet: the best ally for your offroad performance.
Characteristics

Technologies
HardWALL
Casing with bead-to-bead protection and hard rubber insert positioned above the bead for reliability suitable for any aggressive riding style. Multiple reinforcements incorporated into the structure improve the overall strength of the carcass and provide greater support when riding at low pressures: with a bead-to-bead layer of nylon integrated into the carcass plies and a thick hard rubber insert over the bead, the 'HardWALL handles high loads with ease and prevents punctures. Many reinforcement technologies incorporated and combined with a 60tpi nylon carcass result in a solid construction of the tire, to the full advantage of its reliability and ride quality, without compromising its weight. The HardWALL MTB carcass is dedicated to the trail and enduro world.
SMartGrip Compound
Decades of success in the Motocross and Rally world championships have led Pirelli engineers to develop an innovative compound, the SmartGRIP Compound for the Scorpion™ MTB range, combining two opposite characteristics: the SmartGrip Compound for Scorpion™ MTB, combining two opposite characteristics: resistance to tearing, for maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions and at the same time maximum puncture resistance; Chemical grip on wet surfaces, so you don't have to worry about rain and muddy, slimy sections of the course. The compound used is the result of an intense research and development process which has allowed us to obtain absolute performance in both dry and wet conditions. Designs optimized for the consistency of the terrain regardless of the climatic condition, maximizing the performance of the various geometries of the blocks present in the Scorpion™ MTB range, for a truly uncompromising performance. With the Pirelli Scorpion™ MTB range it is no longer necessary to change tires based on the weather conditions, but simply focus on the consistency of the terrain you usually face. The choice of the single-compound solution offers consistently high grip in both dry and wet conditions, even when the blocks begin to wear out.
