Orbit
Orbit technology is an innovative new form of derailleur motion control. It uses silicone fluid as part of a sleek, ultra-light damping system. Compared to a standard friction clutch system, Orbit technology places no additional resistance on the rear derailleur spring during slow or light movement. This means easier gear shifting and rear wheel removal. And while driving, the smooth shock absorber reduces chain bounce. It's solid reliability for both 1x and 2x systems.
AXS
AXS is SRAM's new bicycle component integration system that connects the bicycle's electronic components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows riders to see battery status, change component behavior, customize controls, receive maintenance reminders and update firmware.

X-SYNC
SRAM X-SYNC 1x chainrings offer the highest level of performance and durability. The edges of the SRAM X-SYNC tall square teeth engage the chain before the traditional triangle-shaped teeth. The sharp, narrow tooth profile, as well as the rounded beveled edges, help handle a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-SYNC chainrings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the internal chain links and rollers. Designed in Germany, the X-SYNC rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1x drivetrain. Don't accept imitations.
eTap
All the technology behind our new SRAM RED eTap groupset, such as wireless shifting, advanced battery charge management and mechatronic technologies, are designed to serve one ultimate purpose: to facilitate the most intuitive and consistent shifting available. This moving logic is called eTap. The right lever makes it harder, the left lever makes it easier, both levers move the front derailleur. Simple, unmistakable and intuitive.
