Sram UDH Universal Replacement Hanger

SRAM presented the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger), a new universal hanger for the rear derailleur, a unique solution valid for all Mountain Bikes. Usually each brand and model of Mountain Bike mounts its own type of dropout which is not compatible with other bikes. SRAM wants to put an end to this lack of standardization with the launch of the UDH universal dropout.

The Universal Derailleur Hanger is positioned inside the wheel axle seat and replaces the original frame dropout, making it a very useful component to have in your toolbox as a spare part in case the original dropout breaks. The UDH dropout is not limited to being a spare part but offers solutions aimed at improving the performance of the transmission.

Firstly, it is optimized to increase shifting precision, not only for SRAM products but also for shifting from other competing brands. It also has a protection system that allows the dropout to rotate in the event of strong impacts to save the derailleur and the dropout itself from damage. Finally, it is equipped with a ramp that is positioned between the cassette and the frame to save the latter in case the chain falls from the smallest sprocket, thus preventing it from getting stuck in the frame and damaging it.
